Thank you for the article. Here are some notes on it:

1) Linux has disk encryption too :)

2) Telegram is another save text app. They even have desktop clients for all platforms (incl. Linux)

3) To have really secure connections you fail to mention to use a VPN service. In this day and age, you should use a VPN always. Even on your phone.
